This application note describes the methodology used in estimating effiency of AmbioMote24 energy harvesting circutry and explains the sources of energy gain.

Testing is performed by using a piezoelectic energy harvester driven at 40Hz and producing open circuit voltages of 10V, 30V, 50V and 100V peak.

Efficiency of AmbioMote24-A and AmbioMote24-B was compared to a commercially available energy harvesting module. AmbioMote24 performed significantly better under most testing conditions.
